Most cabinet problems start at the planning stage. A big-box store’s stock sizes do not fit real rooms, and catalog drawings do not account for the corner that jogs out or the window that sits lower than standard. At Mission Cabinet Co. in Aiken, SC, cabinet design begins with your actual measurements.
We draw each room from scratch. You pick the wood species, the door style, the box construction, and the drawer hardware, and we specify it from manufacturer lines – a deep range of sizes and finishes, plus width, depth and height modifications, so the drawing and the order match. We put those choices into a detailed plan and give you real numbers before you commit to anything. No vague estimates, no sticker shock at the contract.
Because Mission Cabinet Co. shares ownership with Mission Land Homes, a working home builder in the CSRA, our designers have walked finished jobsites every week for years. We know what works inside a wall cavity, above a refrigerator run, or around an existing soffit. That field experience shows up in the drawings before anything goes on order.
Third-party financing is available, so budget does not have to end the conversation on day one. Lead times and scope are spelled out during the quote process, not after you sign. If you are comparing cabinet design against big-box stock in Aiken or Augusta, start with an estimate and see the difference on paper.
Every cabinet design at Mission Cabinet Co. starts with your actual room dimensions, not a standard size chart. We measure the space, note the plumbing, the windows, the awkward corners, and draw plans around what is there. You see the layout before anything is ordered.
Because our ownership is shared with Mission Land Homes, a working home builder in the Aiken area, we have seen what holds up in finished homes and what does not. That shows up in how we specify box construction, wood species, door styles, and drawer hardware. We are not guessing at what fits your budget. We give you real numbers early so you can decide before anyone is committed to anything.
You do not have to wait until the end of the page. Answer a few questions about the room in our estimate builder and we come back with scope and pricing — before any sales conversation.
The room from above with every cabinet dimensioned, appliances placed, and clearances marked.
Each wall drawn straight-on: door and drawer layout, heights, crown, and what sits where.
Door style, finish, hinge and slide spec, pulls and knobs – the list the order gets placed from.
Plywood boxes. Lighter, holds screws better, shrugs off a leak. Worth it under a sink and anywhere near water.
MDF. Dead flat and stable, the best base for painted doors. We use it for door panels, not for boxes that get wet.
Particleboard. The cheapest box material and the one that swells. We will tell you when a budget line uses it and where it matters.
Paint-grade vs. stain-grade. Paint hides joints and lets you pick any color; stain shows the wood and costs more in species. Both are factory-finished on the manufacturer’s line, not brushed on site.
Every job is drawn and priced to your room, so these are ranges, not quotes. They are here so you know whether we are in the right conversation before you spend an afternoon with us.
Design and drawings are part of the quote — you are not paying for a plan you might not build. Most kitchens run $12,000–$30,000 installed, up to $60,000 for larger kitchens with premium species and finishes; vanities and built-ins from $1,500.
Want a real number for your room? Start your estimate — it takes about five minutes and there is no sales call attached.
A scaled plan and elevations, a door and finish selection, and a hardware schedule — enough that there are no surprises at install.
No — design and drawings are part of the quote.
Yes. We check it against the real room before we specify to it.
Both. Through Mission Land Homes we do new builds weekly; remodels are the same product with a demo line added.
Our own crew, not a subcontractor. The people who measured and drew it are the people who set it.
